COG Roundup

I thought you might be wondering how many submissions I ended up with for COG 100... and that number is 107! YEAH! I'm just thrilled and very, very grateful to all my genealogy blogging friends who came through for me. I was very happy to see submissions from "the old guard" who helped the COG get off the ground years ago. It's been a long time and a great reunion. Thank you for being there for me!

And then there are those who were determined to see to it that I got my 100 submissions, even if it meant they had to go above and beyond... writing multiple submissions. YOU GUYS ROCK! There were more than 7 multiple submissions so I wouldn't have gotten to 100 without your efforts.

I also have to give a shout out to all the new-to-COGers who pitched in with great articles. I know it's a little scary the first time around but you all did great. And since there were more than 7 of you, I wouldn't have gotten to 100 without you either. I'm pleased to have you all as part of the COG family now!

To everyone to who submitted articles to COG 100, THANK YOU! I'm so grateful to you for making my wish come true! You're the best!

And now I have to roll up my sleeves and get to work. I have no idea how long it will take me to put together a COG of this size but I'd say that Dec. 4th publishing date is more a possibility (remote) than a probability.

  1. However long it takes to put this COG together will be worth the wait. Congratulations! I am so glad your dream of 100 came true!!!

  2. Let me know if I can do anything to help. You might consider doing it in two separate installments, even though a 107 post COG would be awesome.

I'm proud of my fellow genealogy bloggers who rose to the challenge!

  3. I'm really thrilled about this. It's a great example of what a fantastic community we have here. More and more lately I'm seeing how much people support each other in this group...and in a field that can be kind of isolating, that's so important.

  13. I'm a day late and a dollar short this time, Jasia. Sorry to have missed the deadline to participate, but I'm happy to show my support by reading the big 100 edition once it is hot off the presses! Thanks for all of your hard work on the COG. One-hundred is a BIG NUMBER! Love you, friend!
