Carnival of Genealogy, 104th Edition

Welcome to the April 4, 2011 edition of the Carnival of Genealogy. The topic for this edition is: Cars as Stars of our Family History, II! The subject of the family car was very popular 3 years ago when we first covered it in the COG so I decided to revisit the topic. I'm happy to say that the submissions this time around are every bit as entertaining! We have cars with names, cars with style, family cars, and very, very cool cars. The one thing all the cars (and one bike ;-) have in common is the very special place they had in our family's histories.

Put in your orders now for your favorite flavor of milkshake and the car hop will bring it along shortly. In the meantime, check out the great articles in this edition... the Carnival is back in town!

Cheryl Schulte presents A Family Gathering by the Car! posted at Two Sides of the Ocean, saying, "My Schluessler family loved gatherings and took many photos with their automobiles. Here are some examples of just such gatherings."

The details of this tragedy remain somewhat of a mystery. I'm here to uncover it."

Cheryl Cayemberg presents Have You Seen My Roots?: Monday's Mystery - Desperately Seeking a Date posted at Have You Seen My Roots?, saying, "I originally created this post back in January of this year trying to identify the car (make, model, year). I figured it would fit right in with the Carnival, and who knows...I may get lucky and someone might have an idea on the car. I already received several leads!"
