My mom (Lucy) and her best friend (Helen) are pictured here. The bathing beauties were posing for pictures at Belle Isle Park, (Detroit) I believe. These pictures were taken during WWII and they were probably posing as pin-up girls... or at least as "pin-up" as their good Catholic upbringing allowed them to be. I know my mom wrote letters to a few boys during the war and probably Helen did too. It's quite possible that copies of these pictures were tucked into those letters.
