Blog Enhancements

As you may have guessed by glancing at my blog, I finally received my invitation to upgrade to the new version of Blogger. The upgrade went easily and flawlessly and I now have the ability to tag my blog posts. Yeah!

I spent last evening tagging each and every one of my 224 blog posts with at least one tag so that if the Blogger search engine goes kafluwy again I will hopefully still be able to find previous posts by topic.

I took the opportunity to update my personal library with the 9 new books I got as Christmas gifts (I love books!). :-)

I also updated my blog roll (Blogging Buddies) which I'd been meaning to do for some time. I concentrated on the non-commercial bloggers who's blogs will benefit from links. We all need more links! I may have forgotten some because it was getting late and I was getting tired, but it will be much easier to add them now!

And last but not least, I added Google AdWords to my blog page. I'm sure everyone is aware by now that when you click on a Google ad you earn money for the blog or web site host. I don't know about you but I need my web sites to work for me. So I'm hoping these Google Ads will buy me lunch ;-)

So now that this little bit of housekeeping/organizing is done I can get back to blogging... which I have been very remiss about lately!

  1. Thanks for adding me to your blogroll. I recently added you to mine.

I sweated through my lastest blog for the carnival laptop was having issues, and then (gasp!) I couldn't find Grandpa's recipe! All done in the nick of time! (grin)

  2. Thanks for the link. I like the way you labeled your posts. I may rethink the way I've labeled mine.

  3. I love what you've done with the place, Jasia! Can't stay though 'cause I am still contagious. *weak laugh* Seriously, this bout of the flu just about brought me to my knees. I'm coming around as of today, but I anticipate another week before I am myself again.

    See you again soon...

    ~ Lee

  4. It looks good. Nice labels too. I don't like my labels, but it's too much work to do them one at a time.

I haven't experimented with making links to the labels, or using Google ads. Just a pure boy, I guess (yeah, right!).
