The Vigil is Over

The bedside vigil is over. My mom died peacefully this morning surrounded by all of her children. I’m physically and emotionally exhausted from too many sleepless nights and stressful, worrisome days. The next few days will be difficult as we get through her funeral but then the healing will begin and life will go on. I hope to be back to blogging by next weekend. Please keep my family in your prayers.

Thank you.

  2. Jasia, so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. The sentiments you expressed when I lost my grandmother were much appreciated, so allow me to return them in kind.

  3. I too am sorry for your loss. I know how it is...just know that she is no longer in pain or suffering.

I hope you can get some rest and that the next week of grieving will start your healing.

Celebrate her life. Think about her, the good times, the loving times, and then write about it when you can.

May you and your family find the peace you need in this time of loss. While you grieve here, the faith that we share tells us that everlasting life is hers.

  11. Hugs and gentle and kind thoughts to you and your siblings. I recall a comment about the nature of this particular long road you all have been on. There's no way I can even glimpse the full extent of it, other than that it has been hard.

I wish you peace and rest and refreshment. And I wish you people who listen at the times you need to talk.

  13. Dear Jasia,

At times like this, I am reminded that life is an incredible and precious gift. Our lives are brief; our bodies fragile.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow.
