The church is clustered with two other churches so the only weekend mass is 4:00 P.M.on Saturday. If you are adventurous, and decide to visit, the address is 844 Harbaugh Detroit, MI 48209. Take Harbaugh Street until it ends and changes into Edwin Street and you are there. If possible, I highly recommend Saturday June 9th 2007, the feast of Corpus Christi. On this day, there will be a traditional Corpus Christi procession around the outside of the church as there has been for the previous 104 years. The parish does an excellent job with this. Also if you do visit, be sure to see the stained glass window of the Polish patron saint of the church, St. John Cantius. It is located at the right side of the alter.Perhaps I'll see you there!

Last Corpus Christi Day Celebrated at St. John Cantius
St. John Cantius church/parish (Detroit, MI) is closing in just a few months (October 2007). This weekend, Saturday June 9th, the parish will celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi for the last time. St. John Cantius was a fixture for the Polish community in the Delray area of Detroit for many years. It's sad to be losing another of our beloved Polish parishes. Here is text from an email forwarded to me. It was written by John Kulik who also wrote a moving history of the parish.
