Detroit Polonia Happenings

I've gotten a little behind in my blogging so let's see if I can get caught up a little bit here.

The 26th Annual Pierogi Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 16 & 17, 2008 at Sweetest Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Detroit. That's only 4 weeks away! If you live in the Detroit area you don't want to miss it. Put it on your calendar now and plan to bring your family and friends. Here's the flyer and a schedule with all the details! My mouth is watering already :-)

There will be a special screening of Dom Polski: Dance Hall Days of Detroit's Polonia after the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at St. Albertus Catholic Church. Admission is free but donations are gratefully accepted. Free paćzki will be served! Here's the details! YUM!

  1. Jasia,

Summer is not complete without going to at least one Polish festival and this one is a great one. Do you remember the ones that were held down by the River?

  2. Yes, I do remember the Polish Festival down by the river. My dad took me a couple of times. It was fun and exciting to me as a kid. I wonder what I'd think of it now.
