If I'd been using all digital photos that had been tagged, this project would have been completed in a fraction of the time. But I had to dig through hundreds of lose photos to find the ones I wanted, and then scan them, and then edit them and optimize them (they had to be jpgs), and then upload them. The most time consuming part of the editing was dealing with Circe's eyes. Is anyone ever going to come out with the equivalent of a red-eye tool for animal eyes? With my dog I can just make the eye dark brown and be done with it. But cat eyes have those pointed oblong pupils and you just can't get away with making them a solid color. Even in small photos the eyes look weird if you don't at least attempt to put the detailing in to them. Well, the book is done and hopefully it will look good when I get it.
The calendars have all been printed :-)
The Christmas cards have been proofed and will be printed this week.
The ornaments came in the mail and they look terrific! Yeah!

In my pursuit of getting the Christmas projects done in the last few days I neglected to write a post about a couple of items of note on the blogs of footnoteMaven. The first was the publication of the 7th edition of the carnival, Smile For the Camera. The word prompt for that edition was "Oh, Baby!" and a cuter bunch of baby pictures you'll never see! Head on over and check them out. You'll be making those "awww" and "oooo" sounds for sure!
