The Polish Genealogical Society of Michigan has some great meetings lined up in the next few months...
On March 20, the PGSM will hold its first meeting of the year in the Panorama Room at the Orchard Lake Schools from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Polish Mission Director Marcin Chumiecki and Archives Director Rev. Stanislaw Flis will host an exhibit of campus genealogical holdings. Many documents and artifacts are exclusive to this institute.
On April 17, volunteers at the Bloomfield Family History Center will describe the materials available to all genealogical researchers. The centers provide free access to thousands of vital records from throughout the world, in addition to other resources.
April 28 to May 1, the PGSM will host the United Polish Genealogical sessions at the National Genealogical Seminar in Salt Lake City, Utah.
On May 15, the PGSM will visit the Bentley Historical Library at the University of Michigan. Archivist Malgosia Mys will present the Polish American Finding Aid.
On June 19, Mark Bowden of the Burton Collection at the Main Branch of the Detroit Public Library will review Polish records at the site.
