In 1985, the elementary school was still operating with 272 students, the high school with 333 students, and both were run by the Felician Sisters.

The St. Florian Strawberry Festival is a state-wide recognized celebration that draws tens of thousands of people.

St. Florian Church was selected for appearance in the National Geographic Magazine.

In 1924, the year of peak enrollment, St. Florian Elementary School had 2,853 students.
