A Polish Christmas in Song and Dance

The Lira Ensemble will be performing, A Polish Christmas-Carols, the Polish Masters and More, on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Ford Performing Arts Center in Dearborn, Michigan. This is a fantastic show and I highly recommend it. I saw the group perform a few years back and it was absolutely breath-taking. This is a professional group that specializes in Polish music and dance. The costumes are absolutely beautiful and the performers are very, very talented. This is not your neighborhood children's dance group (not that I'm putting them down mind you, but this group is much more than that). They will surely dazzle you!

For more information about the group and how to get tickets, visit the Lira Ensemble web site.

  1. Maybe it was not a big deal before the internet - to regret that you cannot possibly attend lots of neat things that happen far away - because we did not hear about them, or only after they had happened anyway. However nowadays we are so in touch with this small world that I think there must be more "Oh, I wish I could..." going on than we know. IF every wonderful program were digitally recorded & posted on the internet, too, besides just the promos about them.... Big Sigh. All those genealogy lectures & classes we miss, presentations on local history, living history and cultural events - Gotta keep your priorities straight. We lived in Flint for a couple of years and tried to take advantage of being there. All you can do is all you can do - until you think of a way to do more? Maybe this "Polish Christmas in Song and Dance" is available on a DVD somewhere?
